Antique Royal Worcester Porcelain
Royal Worcester traces its origins to the Worcester factory of 1751 and received its royal warrant in 1788, making it one of the oldest continuously produced English porcelains. Antiques Boutique brings together Royal Worcester vases, ewers, figures, candle snuffers, tablewares and cabinet pieces, including blush ivory grounds, reticulated work and the hand painted fruit decoration for which the factory is best known.
Painted signatures by artists such as the Stinton family, Sedgley and Roberts add considerably to value, and the printed crown and circle mark carries a dating system of dots and symbols.
