Fine Veramin Design Carpet, 2.45m x 2.88m

This striking carpet was woven in the last twenty years or so, with fine wool quality and knotting. The design has instant appeal and is very decorative. The so-called 'mina khani' pattern often seen on Veramin carpets from Central Persia has been adapted in a very stylish and colourful manner. The terracotta field is composed of an elegant repeating lattice filled with a variety of blossoms and flowerheads while the abrashed pale blue main border complemented the field with repeating palmettes and meandering vines. Note the cute narrow guard stripes filled with botehs. All in all, a lovely carpet which would fit well in many settings.
