About this item
This mid-20th century scales by Vandome & Hart is a beautifully considered piece of design. It comes with its original scoop and brass weights, and is offered in untouched, as found condition - and we think, so much the better for it. As it is, it is nicely 'weathered' by age and has great authenticity as a result. However, this is just our opinion. If you prefer a more glossy version, it's more than likely possible to have it polished.
If comes with an impeccable pedigree too, Vandome & Hart Ltd of London has been around since 1660, making it the oldest company of its kind in the UK.
In terms of condition, considering it's seen around 70 years of use, it's not doing badly at all.
