This is an antique rolling parallel rule. An English, brass scientific instrument to aid navigation, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Attractive period instrument within quality case. Displays a desirable aged patina throughout. Solid brass shows bright golden hues and tonality. Used in period to draw parallel lines upon navigation charts. Smooth action to rollers, with bi-directional movement. Presented within a mahogany case, showing fine grain interest.
