A very attractive 19th Century 'Bristol blue' glass decanter. Late Georgian to early Victorian. Polished smooth base. The stopper of the period, with the mother-of-pearl label engraved "Brandy" in gothic lettering.
A super decorative and useful piece.
Condition:-
Slight scratching to the outside commensurate with age and usage. Various lines of the levels of former liquids visible to the inside under close inspection. Nice authentic wear to the footrim. Old price/collector's label to the base (reads '25/6'). The cork old and worn, but fits tighly with a nice 'squeek' on insertion and removal (copper bleeding through the silver plate).
