An absolutley stunning George III silver very large basket, made in London in 1788 by Henry Chawner. The basket has a scalloped edged rim with bright cut engraving. There is a swing handle and a crest engraved in the center. It sits on one spreading foot and there are hallmarks on the body and a part set on the handle. This amazing basket is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. It is very usable and versatile, it could hold bread, flowers or fruit. An incredable piece of Georgian silver.
