Finely carved from the highest grade natural lapis lazuli from Afghanistan, this 2.7 kg gemstone statue exudes an aura of peace and tranquility, portraying Shakyamuni, the historical Buddha. His round face, adorned with large downcast eyes and long earlobes, emanates serenity, while his hair is neatly coiled atop his head in an ushnisha. Draped in a fluid robe that gracefully wraps around his legs, exposing feet, Shakyamuni sits in the Dhyana Asana on a lotus throne. His left hand forms the Mukula Mudra, resembling the bud of a lotus flower, symbolizing new beginnings, while his right hand is in the Abhaya Mudra, signifying protection. With a gentle, assuring smile, Shakyamuni's serene expression radiates wisdom and compassion. Behind him, a flame-shaped halo adorned with a full-bloom sunflower further enhances the divine presence of this magnificent statue, while intricate details on the back showcase the flowing folds of his robe. A beautiful, refined sculpture with precious rare mineral properties that is of heirloom quality.
