    This is a medieval silver penny of King John of England, struck at the Winchester Mint between 1207 - 1210 AD. 

    Obverse: ҺЄNRICVS RЄX (King Henry) Legend around crowned facing bust, holding sceptre.

    Reverse: +MILES ON WINCE (Miles of Winchester) Legend around voided cross, with four pellets in angles.

    It is an excellent example of this scarce mint well struck in VF condition and of good weight.
