    About this item

This is an ancient Roman Nicolo intaglio, dating to the 2nd century A.D. The gem is cut with an image of a standing figure of Bonus Eventus (Good Events). He would have originally been set into a silver or gold finger ring, used as a private signature. The gem has a small chip on the top, though this is minor and doesn't affect the image. A nice ancient gem for remounting.
