This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This is a solid 18K gold seal with a gold handle but a gold on metal base. It does not have any assay marks. It has been thoroughly tested and is sold with our 100% refund guarantee
The gold seal has a rectangular base set with a red hard stone which is carved with an intaglio armorial crest of a dragon within a laurel wreath topped with a knight’s helmet. The seal has the latin words in reverse “Nec Aspe Terrent” and “Festina Lente”
The seal has a domed ribbed gold base and a carved gold strut handle topped with a suspension loop
The seal measures 21mm x 15mm x 13mm and is in 90% mint condition – the handle leans to the side.
