About this item
This is a gilt metal Chatelaine which has a hinged, sprung clasp at one end with a spike to secure it securely. There is also a length of fine mesh links and a dog clip to attach to the watch in the pocket. The remaining chatelaine would then hang from the pocket. The chatelaine is made up of a strap ofine mesh links with an oval panel with initials MEJ . Hanging from it is a matching seal with an oval base and a finely carved handle. The chain measures 100mm from end to end inc the seal, is 12mm wide and is in 95% mint condition.
