This is a Victorian gold cased (gold on metal) pocket watch key which was made circa 1850
The gold cased key is a round shaped and set with a red hard stone on one side and an amethyst stone on the other.
The key is much smaller than usual and would be perfect on a charm bracelet.
The key has a carved shank and a carved suspension loop which turns 360 degrees
The key has a steel winding end which is a size 1-2 and is covered with a gold cased sleeve.
The key measures 30mm x 11mm x 8mm
The key is in 95% mint condition – the carving and detailing are in superb crisp condition
