This is an Islamic agate amulet plaque, engraved with Arabic Qur'anic calligraphy and black inlay. The form sits close to 18th-century Iranian hardstone talismans, where sacred text was cut into agate and kept as a protective object.
The plaque has a square layout with several inscription borders around a central calligraphic panel. The visible wording appears to include part of Ayat al-Kursi, one of the best known protective verses used on Islamic amulets.
