This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This is a very rare seal. Please note the seal is TINY and is a perfect miniature. In over 30 years of dealing with seals this is the first example of a miniature seal this size I have seen.
This is a solid 18K gold seal but it does not have any assay marks. It has been thoroughly tested and is sold with our 100% refund guarantee
This TINY gold seal has a square base set with a beautiful green glass stone which is carved with an intaglio of a ships wheel.
The seal has a square gold base and a gold handle formed of in the form of a coiled snake with a head and tail and engraved scales. There is also a suspension loop.
The seal measures 10.7mm x 5.6mm x 5.6mm and is in 95% mint condition.
