This is a rare and curious piece
The key is English silver and has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1909
The key has its makers marks also for ALLD which are the hallmarks for Adie & Lovekin who specialized in animal silver pieces – primarily pin cushions
This little bear is wonderfully detailed and has red stone set eyes
On the reverse is a hinged winding pipe and is a size 2-3 approx
The key measures 30mm x 16mm and is in 95% mint condition
