    A late 19th century monumental and 
    impressive Hugo Lonitz (German) majolica
    tureen and cover in typical earth toned 
    studies depicting lifelike detail.
    Decorated with fruit, nuts, and winged 
    cherubs as in Rubens angels etc.

    The Lonitz factory was only in production 
    from 1868 to 1904

    The base impressed with opposing fish

    No damage or restoration

    Size:  19 1/4"  High
              18"   wide across the handles
