This is a vintage maritime commemorative salver. An English, silver plated display tray with personal inscription and Merchant Navy interest, dating to mid 20th century, circa 1950.
Unusual and fascinating engraving ideal for those with maritime interest
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
EPNS 'Treasury' silver plating presents a pleasingly bright, reflective appearance
Rim adorned with small flowerhead castings to the circumference
Personalised inscription to front fascia from a ship's captain to an onboard couple
The MV Trelyon was a Merchant Navy ship operating in the post-war period
Gives the name of Captain James Cornish, M.B.E and the recipients Faye and Horace
Presented onboard whilst the ship was docked in Queensland, Australia
