About this item
A truly splendid 19th century conical tall ship's decanter with extra long air blown and faceted stopper and star-cut base; the fluted neck has a lower faceted ringlet above an unusual and well-engraved intaglio armorial crest of an elephant, Circa 1870s. Holds at least 1.25 litres of wine.
The piece shows mild signs of it’s age of over 150 years, with a gentle amount of clouding, nothing major, and some softened nibbles to the decanter rim, otherwise in splendid antique condition and ready for full use.
