    About this item

A fabulous example of Regency lacquered papier mache from renowned maker Henry Clay. Highly decorative tray with attractive floral design. Marked with Clay's 18 King Street address and dating from circa 1815.

Sitting on a much later mid 20th century stand, bespoke made to display the piece. The whole make a very attractive and useful side table.

With one or two small age related marks to the painted lacquer surface, but no chips at all to the papier mache, the piece is in excellent condition.
