About this item
1910 Oxford Music Hall Programme Harry Tate Dan Crawley London Colour Cover
Original three-panel programme for The Oxford Music Hall, London, for the week beginning Monday 6 June 1910. The bill features comedian Harry Tate, who had made his professional stage debut at this same music hall in 1895, and fellow music hall performer Dan Crawley. It also includes Ruffell’s Imperial Bioscope, an early film attraction.
The colourful front shows The Oxford’s building. Two further illustrated panels depict Iffley Mill and the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford. These are cover illustrations; the performance venue was in London.
Condition Report
Fragile, with separation along both folds. All three paper panels are present and remain joined. On the left fold, the middle panel has separated from the bottom upwards for approximately one-third of the fold. On the right fold, the right-hand panel has separated from the middle panel from the bottom upwards for approximately two-thirds of the fold. There is also light edge wear and discolouration. The colourful cover and printed bill remain legible. It should be opened and handled carefully.
