Very rare large holdfast overalls shop advertising figure

An exceptional example of a very large hardware store advertising figure. This beautiful figure advertising the Norfolk based company holdfast overalls featuring a large gentleman in a flat cap clothed with overalls with holdfast overalls scripted on the chest, holding a pipe wrench. Stood on a papier-mâché globe with details of various countries, with the sign written font to the front of the globe claiming the best in the world. One of the best figures I have seen for a long time. Standing on a wooden covered based with the slogan buy British goods and underneath featuring the logo for the company of the 2 bears pulling on a pair of overalls with the caption bears any strain. A beautiful figure. With a label to the back of the base for pyram which is the main advertising manufacturers in England. Just an all round stunning shop advertisement.

condition

the figures itself is in nice original condition with surface marks with a surface crack to the top of his hat, some flaking paint and minor wear. The globe has some rubbing but still readable. The base has some wear and damage and old wood worm but has been treated. A beautiful rare figure
