A 18th century French kingwood writing table.The parquetry top crossbanded in kingwood above a single drawer ,standing on square tapering legs with gilded bronze feet. A fine quality table , the top slides back 3 inches and the oak lined writing drawer pulls out, it is fitted with a tooled leather writing surface that folds back to form a book rest , along with fitted ink wells. The table is free standing with parquetry panels all round, an elegant and practical piece of furniture. French Circa 1790.
