HISTORY- Edmond Poteau had a workshop on the Rue Mignon from 1856-1874 and then moved to 59 Rue de Turenne staying in business until the late 1890s. Poteau was known for his cabinetry that reflected Transitional and Louis XVI aesthetics, with an emphasis on fine marquetry and parquetry inlay.
