    This is an ancient Roman gold finger ring, dating to the 3rd century A.D. It is set with a garnet intaglio depicting a swimming fish. Some loss to the back of the bezel. A nice excavated ancient ring that would have been used as a personal signature to authenticate letters and transactions.
