A stunningly beautiful and realistically formed Italian silver tortoise. Made by Galleria Torino around 1971. The box has a lid which lifts off and shows a well sculpted interior. The underneath also has cast decoration and a full set of hallmarks "*205 70" "FASANO TORINO" "Sterling 925". This is such a rare and beautifully made storage box, serving dish or just an ornament. Italian design and quality of workmanship has given us this wonderful piece.
