    About this item

A rare Georgian silver porringer by Philip Elston, hallmarked for Exeter 1733. It is of a bell form, with spiral fluted lower body and rope-twist handles. The base bears the Exeter hallmarks and the makers mark of P.E for Philip Elston (see the last photo). The porringer is intact with a nice fluted design, it has several old repairs from an active and well-loved life! Rare to find early West Country silver from Exeter.
