About this item
A beautifully engraved large silver table snuff box made in Birmingham in 1824 by Thomas Shaw. The top is finely engraved with swirls and gothic designs and also a cartouch with initials. The bottom has engravings of flowers and swirls. The 12 part hinge is tight and the lid fits well. There are part hallmarks on the base only. This excellent box has no damage or repairs but may have been superbly regilded inside. A great piece for any collection.
