A stunning William IV silver snuff box, made in Birmingham in 1832 by Edward Smith. The box is engine turned on the top and bottom with a name engraved on the top. The sides are reeded and there is a foliot scroll thumb piece. The original gilded interior has a one line inscription and is hallmarked top and bottom. The snuff box is in great condition with no damage or repairs. The 11 part hinge is tight and the top fits well. A lovely box which would grace any collection.
