About this item
A pretty silver vesta case with engine turned striped decoration front and back and with a circular vacant cartouche to one side. A nice slim shape, it has suspension hoop to the top to hang from a chatelaine.
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1900, maker George Unite.
It measures 4.2cm (1 5/8") long (excluding ring), 3.2cm (1 1/4") wide and 0.6cm (1/4") deep. It weighs 19g/0.6ozt.
Condition is very good with just a few light marks. The engraving and hallmarks are very clear, the lid closes perfectly and the spring in the hinge is also lovely and crisp.
