About this item
A stunning Edwardian silver gilt soap box made in London in 1910 by Finnagans Ltd. The box has an "M" or "W" monogram inlaid with bagget cut emeralds. The top and bottom are fully hallmarked and also have the retailers mark "Finnagans Ltd , 18 New Bond Street". The box is in excellent condition with virtually no wear to the gilding. There is engine turned designes on all the faces and sides. The bottom has 5 pin marks and there are two thumb pieces for opening. The lid fits very tightly. A great piece and very useable.
