George III silver three compartment snuff box, London 1810
An incredably rare George III silver three compartment snuff box. Made in London c.1810 by Phipps and Robinson. There are a full set of hallmarks in the base (date letter is obscured) and each lid is part marked with makers mark and purity mark, the interior has original gilding. The box has diamond design engine turning on all sides. Overall the box is in excellent condition with crisp closing lids and strong hidden hinges. A superb box and the star of any collection.
