    About this item

    A very scarce silver matchbook cover advertising Johnnie Walker Whisky. The interior is gilded and there are a full set of hallmarks on the top and bottom. It was made in 1927 in Birmingham by Henry Mathews. It is in exceptional condition with no damage or repairs. Johnnie Walker whisky was first produced by John Walker a grocer in Kilmarnock in the early 19th century. In 1909 the various whiskies under went a rebranding and the "Striding Man" was first used, this logo still used today was created by cartoonist Tom Browne. A rare and collectable piece of Whisky memorabillia.
