A very rare Scottish Provincial Silver snuff box. Made in Aberdeen around 1774 by John Leslie. The box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. It is engraved "George Duffus to JC" and marked "IL ABD".on the base. Aberdeen silver snuff boxes are very rare especially from the 18th century. It is a high quality box made with a hidden hinge on the top. There is gilding on the inside and the lid shuts tightly. A real collectors piece.
