About this item
A stunning Scottish Georgian silver and agate upright snuff box. This is unmarked but by the style and decoration it was made in Scotland around 1750. The box has three beautiful agates, one on each side and one on the top, one agate has tiny cracks at the bottom. The whole body is covered with engraved flowers and swirls, there is an intricate family crest on the bottom (Middleton). The hinge is tight and the top fits well. A great box for the collector.
