About this item
A gorgeous Victorian horn and silver vinaigrette, Scottish c.1860. Made from ram's horn with a silver top and inset citrene. It has no hallmarks which is usual with these horn items. The hinged lid opens to a gilded interior and a pull out grill with an attached ring. The vinaigrette is in excellent condition and has an attached finger ring or a ring to hang on a chatalaine with. A very rare and collectable piece.
