About this item
A stunning silver "Tartan" snuff box by Taylor and Perry of Birmingham 1838. The box is covered on all panels with very crisp "Tartan" style engine turning. There is an inscription on the lid " Presented To, Capt. Wm Hayes, of Blyth 1860". The interior of the box is gilded with light scratching through use, there are hallmarks on the base and lid. Overall the box is in excellent condition the engine turning is especially crisp. A great piece for any collector.
