    About this item

This is a superb example of an English pair case verge in 100% original condition

The watch has been cleaned and serviced but gains an hour in 24 hours

This watch has a fusee chain driven movement. These types of movements are extremely fragile and it is very easy to break the fusee chain if you have never handled one of these watches before and so consequently we do not cover this costly repair in the warranty.

Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has square baluster pillars, a fusee chain, a verge escapement and a beautifully pierced and engraved watch cock. The movement also has a silver regulator disc and is signed “J Moore, London” # 9483. The movement is in 95% mint condition

Inner case – the movement comes in an inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and is accessed from the front also. The case has its original bow and stem. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition

Outer case – the original and matching outer case has its original button and clasp. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 100% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has its original pair of blue steel beetle and poker hands and is in 98% mint condition – small marks only

The watch has a bulls eye mineral glass

The watch measures 50mm wide x 26mm high including the glass

The watch is key wound / key set
