    A handsome and substantial Georgian silver lidded tankard by Richard Bayley hallmarked for London 1727. A George II Quart size lidded silver Tankard with straight slightly flared body with single reeded girdle, “S” shaped scroll handle with hinged domed cover with scrolled thumb pierce. Engraved with contemporary initials on the front and on the handle. The hinged lid is very positive with no play and closes well. This is an excellent example in very good antique condition. This cup holds 2 pints.
