    A superior Georgian (George III) silver lidded tankard by William & Robert Peaston, hallmarked for London 1763. The hinged domed cover with scroll-form thumbpiece with leaf-form reverse, S-scroll handle with a heart-shaped terminal. This is an excellent example in very good antique condition. The hallmarks are very clear. This cup holds 1.5 pints.
