    About this item

A very rare silver gilt Queen Anne porringer. It was made in London in 1712 by Timothy Ley. He firsted registered his silver makers mark in 1697. The porringer is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. There are a full set of crisp hallmarks on the side lip and an engraved crest in the cartouch. It is the best Queen Anne porringer I have had, although probably later gilded it really is in outstanding condition given its 311 year old age. A great piece for any collection of early English silver.
