    An attractive Georgian silver candle wick trimmer stand of navette shaped with reeded rim and bright cut engraved border frieze of stylised leaves running around the base and double band around the walls. Hallmarked for London 1797, maker John Emes. 

    Perfect for practical use as a pen tray / desk tidy or as a trinket dish.

    It measures 24.3cm (9 3/4") long, 10.3cm (4") wide and 2.5cm (1") high. It weighs 135g / 4.3ozt.

    In very good condition; a couple of pin prick type dints to the base and only minor handling wear, the engraved detail is crisp as are the marks.
