    About this item

A pretty pair of silver dessert serving "berry" spoons with parcel gilt bowls which are shaped at the sides and scalloped at the tips and embossed with fluting and stylised floral and foliate decoration. The handles have similarly cast foliate decoration finishing with scrolls and a shell at the trefoil shaped end leaving large vacant reserves for engraving with initials.

Hallmarked for Sheffield 1910, makers Mappin & Webb. The original leather, silk and velvet lined case is also marked for Mappin & Webb as the retailers.

    They measure 22cm (8 5/8") long and 5cm (2") wide and they weigh a total of 141g / 4.5ozt.

Condition is excellent with no damage or repair. Some very minor marks to the back of the handles, no discernible wear to the gilt or hallmarks and also only very minor wear to the case.
