    A very early Victorian silver pair of silver asparagus tongs. Made in London in 1838 by Hayne and Carter. The tongs are in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. They are fully hallmarked and part hallmarked in places. Both paddles of the tongs are fret cut with intricate tear drop patterns. A beautiful piece of usable silver.
