About this item
A very good quality antique sterling silver cake slice, perfect for special occasions such as a wedding or anniversary. Ornate lobed handle with scrolls and leaves and a small engraved monogram leading to the polished blade with pretty engraved decoration on both sides. Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1903 (the blade 1902), makers Henry Wigful (Lee & Wigful). The other half of the handle has partial marks and there is a further registered deign number stamped around both sides of the handle Rn225792.
It measures 19cm (11 3/8") long, 3.6cm (1 7/16") across the blade and 1.6cm (5/8") deep. It also weighs a substantial 171g / 5.5ozt.
Condition is excellent with no damage, dents, or repairs. Very light handling wear; perfect and ready to add a touch of decadence to any occasion.
