    About this item

Lovely pair of large Georgian provincial silver stuffing/basting spoons in the King's hourglass and thread pattern with scallop shell terminals to the handle and heel. A small hourglass device near the bottom of the waisted lobed terminal.

Hallmarked for Exeter 1817 and maker Simon Levy.

    They measure 33cm (13") long and 6.5cm (2 1/2") wide and weigh a substantial 406g/13.1ozt.

Condition is excellent with no damage and light and appropriate surface wear including a little rubbing to the hourglass devices and leaves at the edge of the terminals. Hallmarks are clear. Both are engraved with an attractive rampant lion crest.
