    This is a rare Scottish silver tablespoon made by the silversmith David Mitchell and hallmarked for Edinburgh 1723. The Assay Master Edward Penman bears his mark of E.P and the late letter T for 1723. It is a very nice spoon, intact with much of the original gold gilding.
