About this item
I was lucky enough to find this pair of Royal silver dessert/table knives by Moses Brent, crested for the Prince of Wales (George IV). Each knife is engraved with the Prince of Wales badge and garter. This distinguishes the set as belonging to the household of the Prince of Wales, who, at this point, would have been the young George IV. The knives have silver handles, but the blades are made of carbon steel.
The Grand Service is the magnificent silver-gilt dining service commissioned by George IV (1762–1830) when Prince of Wales. It is made up of over 4,000 pieces for dining and display in a vast range of styles. Among them are elaborate dessert stands, candelabra and ice pails, as well as simpler items like trays and egg cups. It is used at Buckingham Palace during official State Banquets.
This is an original pair of knives that were once owned and used by George IV as Prince of Wales. Very Rare and historically important! I had previously bought a set of four of these knives in London #13079, but was lucky enough to find this pair, which would now makes up six!
