About this item
A stunning pair of silver and oak barley twist candle sticks made in Birmingham in 1919 by A. E. Jones. The pair are in great condition with only very slight bruising to the base. They are both fully hallmarked and have green baize bases to protect your furniture. The company was founded in 1902 by Albert Edward Jones who had trained at the Birmingham School of Art under Edward Taylor. Jones was a leading light in the Arts and Crafts movement heralding a return to hand crafted goods. These candlesticks are excellent examples of their work.
