    About this item

An attractive set of 4 late Victorian silver napkin rings in their original silk lined leather case with fitted velvet slots and retailer mark for Mappin Brothers. The rings have plain polished flared edges and an unusual pierced middle section cast as textured knotted ropes in the style of a fishing net. There is a monogrammed cartouche reserved in this frieze further engraved around the edge with a rope pattern. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1889, makers Atkin Brothers.

    They measure 4.4cm (1 11/16") wide and 2.6cm (1") deep. They weigh 72g / 2.3ozt combined.

Condition is very good with no damage or repair and minimal handling wear. The box has some scuffs outside but is good inside.
