About this item
A very stylish Danish silver sugar caster in the art nouveau / skonvirke style with fluted baluster body with all over hammered finish and small silver "beads". Matching bayonet fitting cover with pierced detail. Copenhagen town mark dated 1916 to both pieces and assayer mark for Christian Heise. No maker's mark but the design attributed to Evald Nielsen with a fully marked example of later date documented.
It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") high and 7cm (2 3/4") wide. It weighs 17g / 5.5ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage, dents or repairs.
